There is now only one month to go until the opening of The Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF). The festival will present a selection of screenings, premieres and masterclasses in venues across the city of York, from the November this year. Creative Update: Yorkshire’s Dom Smith wins Entrepreneurial of Excellence Award (Disability) at the National Diversity Awards

 

Hull-born and York-based disabled entrepreneur Dom Smith (editor of Soundsphere magazine and co-founder of Disabled Entrepreneurs), has won the National Diversity Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence in the Disability category for 2012. The first ever NDA ceremony was hosted on September 21 of this year by Brian Dowling (Big Brother) at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. Dom (who has Cerebral Palsy and walks with the aid of two sticks) was one of three shortlisted candidates for this award.

Save Time and Add an Interactive Text Box for PDF in Open Office

It’s a simple problem that doesn’t seem to be one that is being addressed – but just think back to each and every other job application form you have filled out and tell me how many of them were a pleasant or easy experiences?

If your experience is anything like mine, the answer to that will be that they have universally been an unpleasant pain. The same applies to the majority of PDF documents which require information – you can get the form, but there aren’t often text boxes. Does that mean we have to print out a page, fill it out and scan it in or research online for a way to do it? Yes, but it shouldn’t mean that. UKTI creative mission to Brazil

 

A group of UK creative companies are set to embark on a mission to Brazil in a bid to demonstrate UK creativity and boost trade.

Led by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) the group will meet Brazilian companies and personally meet the Secretary of Culture for the State of São Paulo, Marcelo Mattos Araújo.
