Hi everyone, we hope the week’s been going well for you so far – all of us at The Creative Condition thought you’d like to know what’s been happening in our busy world this past week.
First up, we are proud to announce our involvement in the York Stories project, a strand of the York 800 celebrations where residents of York, past and present, recount their experiences of living in the city.
The entire team at The Creative Condition shall be developing a social network-style website for York Stories which will allow anyone who would like to share their story to upload their own content – in written, photographic, audio or video form – to add to an archive of online material.
The website which we are putting together goes live at the end of March, and we hope to be among those involved in its ongoing development throughout the rest of 2012.
The four of us attended a prestigious business conference this week which Mike and Dom have already experienced. Venturefest Yorkshire, an annual event held for the ninth time this year at York Racecourse, celebrates up-and-coming enterprise in the science and technology sector across the Ridings.
With a stall among the Innovation Showcase section, we were able to display our showreels and our website to those in attendance. Of particular interest to those who stopped to chat to us were Jay‘s various animation styles – from stop-motion to 2D caricatures, it proved a captivating catch for The Creative Condition.
We sincerely hope that the connections made between us and the delegates we spoke to at Venturefest may lead to future new work projects for us – and we’re delighted to have been a part of what is a highly-regarded event in the Yorkshire business calendar.
Elsewhere, work on our other projects continues at a steady pace: Soundsphere Magazine is still keeping its finger on the alternative music and alternative culture pulse with daily news updates and regular features; and we’re still heavily involved in pre-production for our music video collaboration with Officers as discussed in our last update.
