The Creative Condition’s Creative Director Jonathan Sillence has been commissioned by Science City York’s Innovation Lead Heather Niven to come up with an exciting animation that will go on tour around the world on behalf of both SCY, and City of York Council.

The animation is to be part of a presentation by Heather which will be given in various venues in different countries around the globe including Estonia, Italy and the US promoting the Open Innovation model, which provides a gateway for city councils everywhere to work with their residents on finding core solutions for those big decisions that can effect us on a local, and sometimes national level.

Jonathan comments on his latest job role: “I’m ecstatic to have this opportunity, and I’ve worked on similar things before for The Infusion Factory and York St John’s University [see example below]. Heather is great to work with. I love drawing, and I always have, so this is great. All I can say at the moment, is that it’s going to be a whiteboard animation, along the lines of the RSA Animate videos.”

We’ll deliver more information on this as we get it. For now though, visit the Science City York website.
